Our Mini-Holiday
I've just gone to London one time before, when I was really little. I believe I was more or less 7 years old. I do not particularly remember. It isn't really important exactly how young I was. The one thing I remember from my first trip to London was seeing the Houses of Parliament. I recall I had been wearing my favourite red duffel-coat. That was fabulously warm, but my favourite aspect about it had been the color. It was a lovely colorful red and it is a brilliant colour to wear throughout the dreary winters.
We have been considering the stuff we would be keen to do in the days that we're in London. I'd love to see a West End show, however my husband is not that keen on musicals.
And he would love to go on the London Eye, however I am not a fan of heights! Perhaps one of his pals could join my husband on that while I enjoy a bit of retail therapy.
We are agreed regarding a couple of activities however.
We really intend to enjoy some London comedy whilst we're in London.
We like going to stand up performances.
We're regulars at our local stand-up club and generally we go to see something approximately one night a week. The London comedy circuit is supposed to be particularly good, so I'm looking forward to that a lot. And we're also attending a live music gig on our 2nd night. Happy days!
This visit to England's capital city is going to be considerably dissimilar to the first visit.
I am a grownup now and I'm going with my husband. Furthermore I have some family in the capital, and my husband and I have a lot of pals in the city.
I'm not sure if we will be able to meet every one of those acquaintances. We're just going to the city for 2 nights.
Folk have informed us that it is really difficult to meet up with people in the capital as you are able to in a more compact city. It is simply too big. With a more compact town, you are able to pick a central place to get together and everyone heads in from wheresoever they are to this one meeting place. With London, even if you decide on a central meeting point, folk may need to journey for one-and-a-half hours to get there.
London's simply too big.
